Tax resources

The Handled Tax and Advisory resources hub holds pillar guides, free calculators, and reference material on multi state filing, quarterly estimated taxes, S corporation election, 1099 contractor returns, and small business tax topics. Resources are educational. They are not a substitute for written tax advice on your specific situation, which happens inside an engagement.

Looking for short-form articles?

The Handled Tax blog covers shorter pieces on specific tax topics: minister housing allowance, quarterly estimated taxes, IRS notices, LLC vs S corporation, and more. Different format, same focus on plain-language tax content.

How the resource library is organized

The resources below are full-length tax guides written for the situations Handled Tax clients ask about most often. Each guide is built to stand alone — you can read just the one that matches your situation, or work through several if your tax picture covers multiple topics. None of them replace a personalized engagement, but they answer the most common questions in plain English.

How often the guides are updated

Each guide is reviewed at minimum annually. SECURE 2.0, IRS form changes, state law shifts, and major court decisions trigger interim updates. The "last updated" date is on each guide.

What's not in the guides

The guides cover federal tax positions and major-state mechanics. They do not cover:
