Monthly Bookkeeping

Organized books. Useful reports.
One less thing on your plate.

I provide remote monthly bookkeeping for small service businesses that want their accounts reconciled and reports they can use. You’ll work directly with me and receive a profit and loss statement and balance sheet each month.

Keep your business moving

Less sorting.
More room to run
your business.

When the books keep slipping down the list, it’s hard to know whether the numbers tell the whole story.

I take care of the monthly categorization, account reconciliation and routine bookkeeping adjustments. You receive financial reports, a brief explanation of what needs attention, and a dependable process to follow each month.

No handoffs. You’ll know who’s working on your books and where to go with a question.

What’s included

Dependable books.
A useful monthly picture.

Six parts of a consistent monthly process, handled directly by me.

01 / TRANSACTION CATEGORIZATION

Keep the details in order.

Business income and expenses are categorized each month, with questions gathered for anything that needs your input.

02 / ACCOUNT RECONCILIATION

Make the records match.

The bank and credit card accounts in your agreement are reconciled against their statements.

03 / ROUTINE ADJUSTMENTS

Keep the books consistent.

I make routine bookkeeping adjustments within our agreed scope. Any historical cleanup is reviewed and quoted separately.

04 / MONTHLY REPORTS

See where things stand.

You receive a profit and loss statement and a balance sheet: a view of what your business earned, spent, owns and owes.

05 / ONE QUESTION LIST

Know what I need from you.

Questions and missing items come together in one consolidated list, so you can work through them in one place.

06 / A WRITTEN SUMMARY

Know what needs attention.

A brief monthly summary highlights significant findings and items to follow up on. Deeper planning and advisory meetings are available separately.

A steady monthly rhythm

A process you can
plan around.

Each month, we finish the previous month’s books. You’ll have clear dates for documents and answers, with reports delivered by the last business day when the information arrives on time.

01

You send the records.

Provide statements and supporting documents by the 5th. Secure accountant access and bank feeds help keep the process moving.

02

We fill in the gaps.

I send questions by the 15th. You return complete answers and missing documents by the 20th.

03

Your reports are ready.

I complete your reports by the last business day. For example, January’s books are finished by the end of February.

Weekend and holiday deadlines move to the next business day. Late or incomplete information can move delivery to the next available opening.

A good fit starts here

You run the business.
I’ll handle the books.

This service is a good fit for small businesses ready for a consistent monthly process. You don’t need to understand bookkeeping. You do need to keep business records separate and make time to answer questions.

Whether you’re nearby in Northwest Arkansas or working with me remotely, the same personal service and monthly rhythm apply.

A few things to have in place

Before we get started

A few common
questions.

Can I combine bookkeeping with a different advisory service?

Yes. If you need monthly bookkeeping and a different kind of advisory support, tell me what you’re looking for. We can discuss the right combination and I’ll quote it based on the work involved.

Can I keep my current bookkeeping software?

Tell me what you use now. I work with QuickBooks and Xero, and we’ll confirm whether your current setup fits the service before making any changes. Software costs are separate unless your written quote includes them.

What if my books aren’t up to date?

We’ll assess the starting point and quote any setup, cleanup or catch-up work separately. Monthly bookkeeping begins once the opening records are ready.

Are tax preparation and planning included?

Tax preparation, membership support and financial advisory are separate services. We can discuss what fits your business and put the agreed services and fees in writing.

What about payroll, sales tax, bills and invoicing?

Payroll processing, sales tax filings, bill payment, invoicing and collections aren’t included in standard monthly bookkeeping. Any additional service would need its own agreement if offered.

Do I need to share my banking password?

No. We use secure accountant access and supported bank connections. Please don’t send banking passwords, account numbers or tax documents through the inquiry form.

What happens after I send an inquiry?

I’ll review your business details and follow up about fit and next steps. We’ll confirm the records needed for review, the monthly scope and any setup work before you decide to move forward.
