Tax Preparation

Clear, accurate tax preparation — without the noise.

Tax preparation is where most clients begin. It’s the foundation of everything else, and it should feel steady, straightforward, and well-handled.

What This Is

Tax preparation focuses on filing accurate, complete returns based on your current situation.

This includes reviewing your information, preparing your return, and making sure everything is filed correctly with the IRS and any applicable states.

The goal is clarity and accuracy — not confusion or unnecessary complexity.

What’s Included

Each return is a little different, but preparation typically includes:

  • Review of income, deductions, and relevant documents
  • Preparation of federal and state tax returns
  • Identification of required filings based on your situation
  • Basic clarification of results and any notable items
  • Electronic filing and confirmation of submission

If something stands out during preparation, we’ll bring it to your attention and talk through what it means.

Types of Returns

We work with both individuals and businesses, including:

  • Individual tax returns
  • Married filing jointly or separately
  • Self-employed and contractor income
  • Small business and entity returns
  • Multi-state filings (when applicable)
  • Amended tax filings (when applicable)

If you’re unsure whether your situation fits, we can take a look together.

What This Does Not Include

Tax preparation is focused on compliance — preparing and filing your return based on what has already happened.

It does not include ongoing advisory, planning, or forward-looking strategy unless that support is added separately.

If you’re looking for more guidance throughout the year, we can talk through options for that.

Pricing

No two tax returns are exactly the same.

Pricing is based on the forms involved and the complexity of your situation, and is finalized once your return is complete.

If you prefer to plan ahead, you’ll have the option to make a deposit toward your upcoming return between November and January.

Ongoing Supports

Some clients prefer to have support beyond tax season — especially when questions come up during the year.

Memberships provide a structured way to stay supported, ask questions as they arise, and make decisions with context.

How This Works

We begin by gathering your information and understanding your situation for the year.

From there, your return is prepared, reviewed, and filed.

If anything needs clarification along the way, we’ll walk through it together so you’re not left guessing.

Next Steps

If you’re ready to move forward or have questions about your situation, we can take the next step together.
