Standard

What WCAG 2.2 AA means

WCAG 2.2 AA is the working accessibility standard for public sector and consumer websites in 2026. It defines requirements covering text alternatives for images, color contrast, keyboard operability, predictable navigation, error identification, and content readable to assistive technology. We use this standard as our compliance target across the site.

What we have done

Specific measures in place

Site pages use semantic HTML for structure. Headings follow a single H1 per page with a logical H2 to H3 hierarchy. Link text is descriptive. Form fields are labeled and have autocomplete. Interactive elements are keyboard reachable with visible focus states. Body text uses a base font size of at least 16 pixels and a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background. Tap targets on mobile are at least 48 pixels by 48 pixels. The site supports the prefers reduced motion user preference and disables non essential animations when that preference is set.
